Medical Office Renovation
Project – Minneapolis Heart Institute
Providing construction services, the scope of work includes the construction of areas designated specifically for stress and echo testing, 12 private exam rooms, scheduling area, main reception area with lounge, waiting room, patient beverage station, and high-end office space.
A few of the key features of this build-out include the stone wall behind the registration desk, the use of the DIRTT wall system that allows natural light to flow throughout the rooms and corridors, and the sliding doors in lieu of traditional swing doors that allowed for the maximum amount of space to be utilized.
One of the unique challenges during the build-out of the space was adding a vital structural bracing prior to the installation of the Nuclear Medicine camera equipment in MHI. Greiner worked efficiently with the Engineer and the tenant below to investigate the current structure, install, and inspect the added reinforcement that was located in the tenant below’s ceiling. All of this work was coordinated with the tenant and was performed during non-business hours to ensure their clinic operations were not disrupted.
