Brooklyn Center building upgrades
Project – ITT Tech and Earle Brown Tower
The team of Earle Brown Tower and ITT Educational Services, Inc. hired Greiner Construction to complete a one-and a half story office space demolition and build-out and a lobby and exterior renovation to an existing seven-story tower in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.
ITT Technical Institute demolition and improvements include a front reception area, and classroom space for computer labs, multiple theory rooms, combo labs, a staff lounge, offices and cafe, each with a private entrance from the corridor. The educational company occupies one and a half stories of this building.
The tower included a remodel to the front lobby space and specific exterior. Upgrades consist of a new building entrance and stairway, ADA access ramp, new signage and lighting, and enclosed vestibule.
As a Design/Build contractor, Greiner worked diligently with the project team to provide multiple value engineering options during the schematic phase. With strict budget constraints, select items were chosen and slight modifications were made to the original scope. During each phase of the project, Greiner maintained direct communication with the out-of-state client, ITT Educational Services, and the building owner to ensure all building requirements were being met.
This fast-tracked project for both ITT Tech and Earle Brown Tower was completed in 10 weeks.
