Exterior modernization and interior renovation to existing building

Exterior and interior modernization

St. Paul

The scope of work included installing a new main building entrance on the South facade to face University Avenue, adding a metal panel clad canopy and adding an accessible route to the entrance from the sidewalk. The previous main entrance on the North facade was  removed and a new metal panel clad canopy was added to match the South entrance.

A large portion of the limestone panel on the South facade was removed and replaced with glass curtainwall at floors 2-5, storefront glass at the first floor and a metal panel sign to separate the two window systems at the second floor line. Interior restrooms on floors 3-5 were demolished and rebuilt in a new location to accommodate the glass wall.

The space between University Avenue and the building was raised to match the first floor of the building and laid out as a multi-level patio space. An accessible route was also connected to the sidewalk.
