Our History

In 1989, a German immigrant, visionary and entrepreneur named Wolfgang Greiner started a small construction company in downtown Minneapolis specializing in high end interior buildouts and expansions. He observed in the 1980’s that as the Minneapolis skyline grew with more office towers being planned and constructed, the general contractors working on those towers struggled with interiors. The building interiors seemed to be treated as an afterthought. The lack of speed, flexibility, craftsmanship and focus in serving the needs of the tenants in the building created a market opportunity filled by Greiner Construction.

Every project, regardless of the size or product type, is viewed with the same commitment to excellence that Wolfgang Greiner and his father Herman Greiner believed in since day one. We haven’t forgotten where we came from or the lessons we learned along the way. Treat people right. Stand by your work. Live by your word. These have shaped our history and always will. The goal is simple, to be a valuable resource to our clients and partners by providing responsive service and innovative execution of projects in an economical manner.
